Dukan Diet - Basics

Dukan Diet Basics:

This is a diet based on high protein. In 1975 Pierre Dukan designed a new diet, The Dukan diet.
This diet has 4 phases: 
- the attack phase
- the cruise phase
- the consolidation phase
- the stabilization phase

In the attack phase you can easily lose 2 to 3 kilograms (4,4 to 6.6 lb) in just 3-7 days. You are allowed to eat as much as you want but just protein without feat, vegetables etc.
In the cruise phase you can add 28 vegetables to your diet and eat also protein rich foods. This phase may help you to lose 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) on week.
The consolidation phase is useful also because is designed to help you in preventing any future massive weight gain. You can now to reintroduce fruit, bread, cheese and other foods.
Stabilisation phase is less dificult because you can eat whatever you want without gaining weight but you still must to follow a few rules: protein day (once a week), oat bran every day and 20 minutes walk daily. This last phase must be followed for the rest of your life to avoid regaining weight.

  6. Do breathing exercises (for example Pranayama)
  7. Get screened regularly
  8. Drink alcohol in moderation
  9. Keep a healthy weight
  10. Remove stress from your life
  11. Limit consumption of salt and sugar
  12. Limit consumption of milk or other dairy
